Bill Fernandez - Apple Computer Employee #4
Vintage Computer Festival 1.0
Saturday, October 25th, 1997
Mr. Fernandez went to Homestead High School, class of '72 (same as Steve Jobs), and introduced Apple's two Steves (Jobs and Wozniak). He was the first employee they hired after incorporating Apple (employee #4) and started work in the garage. He worked for Apple during the development of the Apple I and Apple II, and was an early member of the Macintosh development team (his name is on the inside of the case of the early Macs). He was a User Interface Design Engineer on HyperCard, System 7.0, and QuickTime, and is currently a User Interface Architect at Documentum, Inc. in Pleasanton.
Vintage Computer Festival 1.0 took place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, California on October 25-26, 1997.
